Call for Papers

William Carey International Development Journal invites scholarly papers on the theme “Children and International Development” for its Spring 2016 issue. William Carey International Development Journal is the bi-annual online journal from William Carey International University, devoted to interdisciplinary research focused identifying and addressing on the historical, cultural, and spiritual roots of human problems around the world.
Contributing authors are invited to submit papers exploring children and international development from one of the following perspectives:
1. Biblical/theological reflection of children within the kingdom framework;
2. Case studies of children in various contexts: family, education, society
3. Children at risk
Authors are encouraged to send an email to with an article abstract to evaluate appropriateness for this topic.
Author and Submission Guidelines
We welcome longer academic papers to be peer-reviewed (approx 3500-5000 words), as well as shorter articles to be used on the blog (approx 500-1000 words).
Papers should use the Turabian 8th edition social science style of formatting. Papers may be submitted by email to To facilitate a blind review, please do not include any identifying information in the body of your paper. Instead, please include a cover sheet stating your name, paper title, email address, phone number and institutional affiliation. Please also include a maximum 200 word abstract of your paper along with an author bio and picture.
