Beth Snodderly is absolutely right when she said that Shalom is the goal of God’s kingdom.Today, the grave problem we are facing all over the world is lack of peaceful atmosphere. The treasuries of all governments are spending millions to maintain peace. In this context, the article, ‘Shalom is the reason for the season’ is very much relevant.

Someone once said “Peace or safety is not the absence of danger but the presence of God.” SHALOM as the author describes it is the embodiment of God’s presence and rule in a person’s life, a community, a country or this world. In a chaotic and seemingly disorderly, violent and cruel world, the message of SHALOM brings hope and comfort. It it possible? Certainly, it is not a man-made idea but the very purpose of God, thus, Jesus Christ came to bring SHALOM. I totally agree with Dr. Snodderly, this Christmas season, it is very good to be reminded that SHALOM is the reason for the season. Thanks!
